DESCRIPTION                                   

 

Negotiation is inseparable part of our daily activities. Negotiation takes place at every moment of our lives at home, in the workplace, and on international arena. The full day workshop will provide participants with underlying negotiation theory to enable them to be successful while negotiating with other parties. It will also help participants to find their own negotiation style by using their personal competitive advantage during negotiations process.

The workshop will focus on multi-sectorial approach to negotiation, including real-life examples from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. The important concepts of the workshop will be interest vs. position, value vs. claiming, integrative vs. distributive models in negotiation, dealing with multi-party negotiation, issues of culture and gender in negotiation, managing emotions, difficult tactics, leadership and negotiation, etc. The workshop will be supplemented with some role plays.


TARGET GROUP

The workshop may be of interest to a broad audience. Preference will be given to the representatives of think tanks and NGOs.


EXPERT’S SHORT BIOGRAPHY 

Diana Gaziyan has extensive experience of working with USAID funded projects in Armenia in the area of decentralization and achieving stronger local governance. For around eight years she was the Chief Executive Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia. Ms. Gaziyan received her Master of Science (MS) degree in Management from Wagner School of Public Service at New York University. She has recently graduated from Harvard Kennedy School of Government with a degree of Master of Public Administration (MPA). She has been a participant in a number of renowned programs on leadership and governance.
