Basic Statistical and Econometric Analysis with SPSS 07/27/10 CRRC-Armenia invites applications from researchers, university staff, local NGOs, media, and others who are computer literate, have basic statistics knowledge, and are interested in the subject to participate in computer training “Basic Statistical and Econometric Analysis with SPSS” conducted by Mr. Ruben Gevorgyan.

Overview: The methodological training course introduces the participants to the basic principles of quantitative social research with the help of statistical software. Data input, and data analysis (from basic operations with variables to model construction) are covered in the course. The training avoids complex mathematical computations and enables participants to use software packages (Excel and SPSS) in order to perform statistical and econometric analysis. Important components of the course are practical exercises and individual work based on real life examples (data on Armenia) Ruben Gevorgyan is a professor at economics department of Yerevan State University. He is a physics-mathematics science candidate and a doctor of economics. Mr. Gevorgyan has authored more than 37 scientific articles.
