Lecture-discussion on "Supporting the Country to Turn Challenges into Opportunities"

The World Bank’s focuses on the near-term needs of accelerating economic growth, creating jobs, and reducing poverty. It aims to support the Government of Armenia’s (GoA) new Armenia Development Strategy (ADS) 2025. In an effort to draw greater synergies from our work and catalyze higher volumes of private resources to support Armenia’s development, Bank prioritizes increasing employment through creation of quality and high productivity jobs for the next five years. The three possible key areas of concentration of the Bank’s effort ought to evolve around (a) the support of competitiveness and job creation, (b) improvement of efficiency and equity in social services, and (c) improvement of governance and fight against corruption in the public services. ... read more
