    Missing Women in the South Caucasus

      To explore the issue of the “missing women” – women who would have been born (or survived infancy) if there hadn’t been efforts to prevent their birth or survival past infancy.     Alternative Resources in Media 2011 and 2013

      To enhance access to pluralistic and unbiased information in Armenia through traditional and alternative media. Two “Alternative Resources in Media” surveys were implemented in 2011 and 2013. The aim of the surveys was to identify media preferences of the Armenian public, their expectations from media content, their perceptions of freedom of media, censorship their trust in the media.  See more ...


    Women in Labour Market in Armenia

      The project sought to evaluate labor market opportunities for women in Armenia. Three thematic areas were addressed: barriers to labor market and entrepreneurship opportunities, skills mismatch, and impacts of labor market and social assistance policies. A cross-cutting concern for this assessment via qualitative methods of research was whether and how economic opportunities and constraints are perceived by gender, by age, and by employment status (employers, employees, unemployed, and inactive persons).  See more ...

      The STEP Skills Measurement Study looked at skills in the adult population. It examined how skills are related to job opportunities and labor productivity.     Labor Migration and STI/HIV Risks in Armenia

      The study assessed the scope, scale and, to a certain extent, the quality of the current interventions aiming at providing HIV prevention among labor migrants, examined the HIV/STI risks in urban and rural Armenia stemming from labor migration, assessed the needs for prevention interventions, and produced recommendations for comprehensive, evidence-based, culturally-grounded, and cost-effective interventions to reduce these risks.  See more ...
