On September 18, 2012 CRRC-Armenia<\/a> in cooperation with the World Bank <\/a>organized a public lecture at the Yerevan State University<\/a> on ”Fiscal Consolidation and Recovery in Armenia. Impact of Global Crisis on a Small Open Society”. <\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
The lecture was conducted by Dr. Souleymane Coulibaly, the World Bank’s Senior Country Economist, and Europe and Central Asia regional trade coordinator. He is also team leader of the “Fiscal Consolidation and Recovery in Armenia”<\/a> study, and one of the principal authors of the World Development Report 2009 “Reshaping Economic Geography”<\/a>.  <\/span>

During his speech, Dr. Coulibaly concentrated on the current challenges for Armenia’s fiscal policy, sustainability of Armenia’s external debt, as well as on the key policy recommendations on re-balancing fiscal situation in Armenia. <\/span><\/div>\n

The lecture was followed by discussion and QA session, actively participated by the audience, consisted of students, academic community, international organizations, NGOs, and other interested public. <\/span>
