{"id":5565,"date":"2020-03-05T12:11:53","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T08:11:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crrc.am\/?post_type=research&#038;p=5565"},"modified":"2022-06-21T14:26:42","modified_gmt":"2022-06-21T10:26:42","slug":"public-opinion-household-survey-on-corruption-in-armenia","status":"publish","type":"research","link":"https:\/\/www.crrc.am\/en\/research\/public-opinion-household-survey-on-corruption-in-armenia\/","title":{"rendered":"Public opinion household survey on corruption in Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\n<strong>About the project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The public opinion survey (\u02bcSurvey\u02bc) on corruption was conducted by the Caucasus Research Resource<br \/>\nCenter Armenia (CRRC Armenia), commissioned by \u201cTransparency International Anticorruption Center\u201d<br \/>\n(TIAC).<br \/>\nThe survey aimed at finding out:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the perceptions of Armenian residents on the overall situation in Armenia, corruption and its<br \/>\nmanifestations;<\/li>\n<li>their personal experience with corruption phenomena;<\/li>\n<li>manifestations of public and individual behaviour towards corruption;<\/li>\n<li>awareness and evaluation of anti-corruption initiatives undertaken in the country;<br \/>\nthe main sources of corruption-related information;<\/li>\n<li>changes in the perceptions and behaviours of Armenian residents after the months of April and<br \/>\nMay 2018; and<\/li>\n<li>in the event of comparable data, the changes in the perceptions of corruption and related issues over the past nine years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The survey sets the task of generating practical information that can be useful to the Government, the civil<br \/>\nsociety and the private sector, in order to improve the public administration sector and develop anticorruption policies and programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Methodology<\/strong><br \/>\nThe survey questionnaire was developed by the CRRC-Armenia Foundation and TIAC, drawing on previous<br \/>\nsurvey questionnaires as well as the current developments in anti-corruption policy.<br \/>\nThe survey data were collected between 17 October and 2 December 2019, through face-to-face<br \/>\ninterviews. The survey participants included 1,500 RA citizens aged 18 and older (with 2.5 percent error<br \/>\ntolerance at a 95 percent confidence level). The data of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic<br \/>\nof Armenia on the regional distribution of the number of households was used for the sampling.
