Arpi Grigoryan joined the CRRC-Armenia team in January, 2019. She received her BA and MA in International Relations at the Croft Institute for International Studies at the University of Mississippi (USA) in 2015 and at the University of Tartu (Estonia) in 2018, respectively. Her research interests include (post-)conflict societies, and state and nation-building processes in ethnofederalist states.
Arpi has received training in peace and conflict studies and conducted field work in Bosnia, Cyprus, Kosovo and Iraq. She is also interested in Armenian state and diaspora relations, and has studied Armenian communities in Estonia, Russia and Argentina. In summer 2018, she conducted field research on the Armenian community of Buenos Aires as an AGBU intern. Arpi has also been involved in election monitoring in Armenia since 2015, and was a long term election observer for the snap Parliamentary elections of 2018.
