Matej is a native of Prague, Czech Republic, and earned his B.A. from Beloit College, WI, in international relations and comparative literature. While completing his undergraduate degree, he studied in Amman, Jordan, at American University in Washington, D.C., and at the WWS JSI summer program. Matej’s senior honors thesis explored the political (mis)representation and agency of displaced Azeris and Palestinians. After graduation, he returned to the Czech Republic to work as a foreign policy adviser to Czech Senator Václav Láska. Matej is currently an MPA candidate at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. In his fellowship position with the CRRC-Armenia Matej assists with statistical data analysis and doing associated write-ups for output reports.
