Angela Ghalamdaryan joined the CRRC-Armenia team in October 2022 as a Quantitative Research Program Assistant and currently serves as the Foundation’s Research Programs Coordinator. In this role, she supports the management and implementation of research programs, coordinates fieldwork, contributes to data management, and helps ensure the smooth coordination of the overall research process.
Anzhela graduated from the Faculty of Sociology at Yerevan State University in 2018 with a BA degree, and then in 2020 obtained an MA degree in Sociological Research Methodology from the same department. She has now completed her PhD studies at the Chair of Theory and History of Sociology and is currently in the process of finalization and defense of her dissertation. Her research work focuses on the study of sociological aspects of social trust and inclusion in large-scale communities.
Having authored nearly a dozen research publications in various academic journals, as well as research and analytical reports and book chapters, Angela’s main research interests include local identity, social trust, social inclusion, intergroup-subethnic relations, and research methodologies.
Anzhela has over 10 years of experience in both academic and applied sociological research. Anzhela also teaches “Economic Sociology” and “Methodology and Practice of Sociological Analysis” at the Faculty of Sociology of Yerevan State University. She is fluent in Armenian, has good knowledge of English and Russian, and has a basic conversational knowledge of Georgian.
