Between Loss and Integration․ Research Essay

This research essay was prepared within the framework of the project “Making the Voice of Forcibly Displaced Women from NK Heard”, implemented by the Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC)-Armenia Foundation with the financial support of the Women’s Fund in Armenia (WFA).

The essay was written by Ani Nikoghosyan, a beneficiary of the project. It is based on a small-scale qualitative study conducted by the author with research and methodological support from the CRRC-Armenia Foundation.

The essay is an authorial, self-reflective, and in some respects experimental work through which the author conveys both the voices of forcibly displaced widow women from Nagorno-Karabakh and her own experience. While the work does not seek to meet all the formal requirements of academic research, it offers valuable, in-depth, and methodologically honest material that can serve as a foundation for further research, as well as for evidence-informed planning and implementation of programmes aimed at empowering women from vulnerable groups.
