The training Communication for Policy Relevance seeks to achieve a significant and sustained improvement of writing quality at policy research organizations, to:

·         improve the quality of external (and internal) communication

·         contribute to overall coordination and efficiency & streamline document creation, by reducing the time used for re-drafting and editing documents

·         increase impact and influence of policy research.

The following approach will be applied for the training:

·         introduce key principles, structures and procedures of professional writing

·         integrate the training directly with the organization's and participants' needs

·         provide relevant materials.

Target group

Young specialists, academic staff, junior researchers, PhD students and others interested in communication for policy relevance.

The trainer

Dr. Hans Gutbrod, has worked with think tanks from around the world, trained 2.000+ professionals, written a handbook on communication that was translated into several languages, and led effective organizations and campaigns. At various points, his work has been covered by the Economist, Financial Times, New York Times and Washington Post, among other outlets. Hans has extensive experience in Georgia, including in working with governmental institutions, and holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the London School of Economics., +995 599 014 082
