Meri Zohrabyan holds MA degree in Sociology (Major: Migration and Conflict Studies) and BA degree in Romance and Germanic Philology (Major: Spanish Language and Literature; Second Major: English language) from Yerevan State University. Prior to joining CRRC-Armenia Meri worked at Helsinki Committee Prison Monitoring Group Organizing as a project coordinator. As a linguist she has also worked at A1+ TV station as an English translator, founded a blog /armspanish.wordpress.com/, where she has publish various literary translations. With her five years of experience of tour guiding Meri has also completed the Armenia Country Program 2012 ‘Hispanic week in Yerevan’ and has a volunteering experience of two years in “Espaces” Youth Training Center. She believes that the combination of the tools given from the multidisciplinary fields will help her to form better questions to explore. Meri’s main research interests are the studies of identity, the sociology of religion and the sociology of knowledge.
